I am mulling over the option of offering Woodland Scenics Just Plug and Play lighting system for my structures in addition to my standard incandescent and LED lights.

My question to forum members is - if you were offered the option of Just Plug and Play lights, lights and hub, lights / hub / power, etc for a custom built structure how likely are you to opt for it. For the lights themselves there is not much price differential (three standard lights are about $15 versus two Woodland Scenics for $15). The cost starts adding up with the addition of the various hubs,  rocker switches etc.

Thanks for your input

Personally, I like doing the lighting and things myself. I have also been impressed with the WS Just Plug and Play lighting system. For what you get and the ease of hook up I think the WS system is priced pretty reasonably too. My LHS has a demo system set up and I have fiddled with it a few times. Lots of features built in to the system, like dimming, separate controls, etc.

I think a lot of folks would like it and it would be a very good option to offer with your buildings. I might just end up with some WS lighting myself one of these days and I am one that likes electronics and fiddling with them myself.

I think a lot of folks really don't like the electrical/electronic parts of the hobby and would welcome a system like WS has and it's ease of use. Maybe you should even consider offering the WS controls, power supplies, etc. along with the lights?
