I read on here awhile back that you found a way for the R40 subway roof vents to NOT warp. I have the full 6 car set in the box unrun for this exact reason - I do not want them to warp if I run them -
Can you let me know the fix?

All my vents are still flat today.
On the original set, you have to remove the shells, adjust the tabs to remove the vents. Take a Dremel Tool with a disc and trim the end edges. Mask the roof area along the vents so it protects the roof from glue. Re-install vents and bend tabs inside. Take a toothpick and apply superglue to the vent tabs going into the roof and press flat. It’s been years, so I believe that’s how I did them.
On later releases, I don’t know if MTH corrected the issue?
Basically, when the brass is cold, it buckles. When the roof is warm from the lights, the brass vents will flatten. Each vent was too long by 1/32".
