I have a 6-28517, just got it and it looked like it has never been run.  Opened up the motor, replaced the old grease with new, seem to run fine, oiled where i should.  Running with Legacy 990 handheld.  It does have a Pullmore motor.  Now it will run forward fine, but if you go in reverse, it will start, run a little, then it will quit and it will be in forward, but not moving.  If I turn  the dial it will go forward and will start at the speed where it stopped.  It does this on the track and on rollers.  Either ZWL or MTH Z 4000.

Also, it does not want to really move u til I get to speed step 13 or so, was not sure if that is just because of the Pullmore motor.  All my other command engines are can type motors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, the Pulmore motor doesn't have cruise, so the speed step issue is perfectly normal.

The problem with reverse sounds like the motor is a problem running in reverse, or the board has issues.  First step I think would be to disconnect the motor and wire it to run conventionally in reverse and make sure it works without issue or drawing excessive current.

That's an older model with the LCRU2, so the electronics are "all in one" as far as motor control.
