Does SHS rolling stock come with both scale wheel sets/Kadee-type couplers AND hi-rail wheels/couplers?
Thanks.

Good deal. Couplers = No biggie. Just didn't want the hassle of finding/obtaining scale wheel sets.
Reason: Purchased my first SHS car last night off evilBay!
Thanks John!

Assuming the original owner didn't remove the scale wheels from the box.
Unfortunately, it looks like MTH won't be supplying scale wheels with freight cars like SHS did. Looks like the diesel locomotives will have both sets of wheels, at least so far.

Hello Andre'.......If some day you acquire an SHS car without the scale wheels included, I have a batch of them surplus to my needs. I use only NWSL wheels (non-magnetic) and have saved both the high-rail and scale wheels that came with new SHS equipment. Some day I sill put them up on eBay, but for now they are in my private stash. Let me know if you need a few. Ed Loizeaux
John...Let's talk off forum. Loizeaux@SBCGlobal.net
Rusty: It's supposed to be NIB.
MTH: Bummer.
Ed: Thanks for your generous offer. If the need ever arises, and if you still have some left, I'll be knockin' on 'yer door.

Andre, how goes your Kansas City project?
Hi John!
Several months ago that question was asked in my KC Lines thread here at this forum. I tried to answer it as candidly as I could. Here's the 2nd page of the thread, my responses are down toward the bottom:
https://ogrforum.com/t...ms-in-s-scale?page=2
Since my last posts to the above thread, I've had a few rumblings to piddle with S trains again, my KC Lines layout in particular.
It is still very much a detriment that my Oddballs order didn't come through. Not only did I have several engine liveries for KC railroads ordered, but a LOT of onesy-twosy boxcar/rolling stock decals were ordered to help populate the layout with KC-appropriate liveries as well as helping my layout to not look like everyone else's S scale layout. (i.e. Primarily seeing box-stock liveries.)
Yup, my "want to" really took a lickin' with the failed Oddballs order.
However, I'm considering regrouping and downsizing my motive power aspirations to something that is attainable with current decal supplies "out there" in S land.
I can use up my meager supply of Oddballs S scale Frisco decals and have a handful of Frisco units, ditto using up my small stash of Oddballs S scale Kansas City Terminal decals. There is also the existing factory painted CB&Q switchers I already have.
In addition to the above, perhaps I will letter up some of my undec units for my own "Kansas City & Gulf" railroad concept, which basically uses RR Roman alphabets.
Below you'll see a pic of one of my surviving HO KC&G switchers to illustrate the scheme. My HO KC&G modeling was portrayed as the KC&G's engines would have appeared in 1970, when it was undergoing a "Reorganization" after bankruptcy, hence the tattered look to the engines.
In my S scale effort, the KC&G would be set in the early-mid 60's, so the tattered look wouldn't be as pronounced. (They were in better financial shape then.)
OR... I may explore a new concept altogether: "The Kansas City Belt RR".
I don't know yet?
BUT... at least I'm a' thinkin' on it.
Andre
