Quite Brace Sound proofing

Is painting OK or do I need some other type of coating for the Quite brace Insulation? I think paint should be Ok and lay the track right on it?

I painted mine with 2 coats of latex paint. It requires 2 coats. After the first coat it will look like you did not even paint it. I used the cheapest latex Walmart had. I used 2 shades of green.
