Why is it that every time I add a quote, then press enter and type in a remark right directly underneath the quote, when it shows up after posting there is two to three extra spaces between the quote and remark? I then have to go back and edit the post to get rid of the unwanted/needed space.

I don't know about that one Jim, but I definitely prefer a quote to have extra space between it and the quoter's remarks than those that reply within the quote box, which makes their remarks appear to be a part of the quote, which they are not.

Don't put any extra spaces in there to start with. When I typed this, I placed my cursor immediately underneath the quote of your post.
I've tried that and it doesn't work either. I have also noticed that other members posts do the same thing.

Didn't press enter--just moved the cursor like Rich

I hit the QUOTE button, then placed my cursor immediately underneath the quote box containing your text. This is the result.
