I did not realize it at the time today but I picked up my first PS3 engine at the
local Greenberg Show.
I never owned a modern style diesel and bought it because the PRR paint
job looked kinda nice.
I never owned a engine with ditch lights and the start up sounds
are great,also has a great horn !

This is the first " Imperial" Diesel that MTH has made. I wish they would do more, I would like to see them do a GG1 in a size half way between the postwar and the full scale size with Imperial details.

MTH Imperial line has to be the best value available today. Detail, sounds, speed control that are unmatched in this price range.

I was tempted by an Imperial PS2 KCS unit a couple of years ago. In fact I even took it home and before opening it, returned it to Jim as a down payment on the tinplate Baby Blue Comet Set. I had to keep telling myself that it didn't fit in...
Glad you like it. I have the same one and was running her last night. Very smooth runner with great sound. All the MTH Imperial enggreat are a really great value. PS 3 is awesome.
You should try the dcs remote commander set on that nice engine.
My wife and I got my father-in-law a BNSF SD-70ACE (w/PS3) set for Christmas.
The engine is great and unless you know how big a scale SD-70ACE is (he didn't), it looks spot-on. They really did a great job compressing that beast. Great paint job too.
The sound package is great too!

Yep, The MTH Imperial line has great locomotives for the price. I have one PS-3 loco so far with 2 more in the pre-order pipeline. Excellent command system.
I have an Imperial SD70, a BNSF with PS2 from the BNSF Husky Stack RTR set released in November 2010. I had some issues with the paint coming off but it was taken care of by MTH, at no cost to be despite being way out of warranty. It is very close to scale. I think the Imperial version is full scale except in length. I think, off hand, the RK is 2 inches or less shorter than the Premier.
I also have the following Imperial Steamers...
* Imperial Pennsylvania K4 4-6-2
* Imperial Pennsylvania USRA 0-6-0
* Imperial Norfolk & Western Y6B 2-8-8-2.
I will be ordering the new, soon to be released B&O B6 0-6-0 with PS3, which should be showing up in the next few weeks.
I try to buy all Imperial products now. Excellent products and detail for low costs.
