I never rode a train out of there. I rode the subway there. I used to live in Long Island, and we all went to Penn Station. Metro north and trains to Connecticut depart from Grand Central.

Same for me. Coming from Maryland by train, I always feel "Short-changed" because we can't arrive in the Awesome Grand Central Terminal. We're stuck arriving in the considerably Less awesome Penn Station.

Here are photos of empty Commuter trains before "Rush hour", waiting the lucky folks that pass through GCT as part of their regular work day.
