Here's one on a 5' x 9' grid with parts list from RR-Track, maybe it will help. The only way I could get it to fit was with the added pieces in the loops.

Hello John Carter......my only help here is to ask that you be sure to look at each copper "tang" at the end of each RealTrax......and take the time to carefully ensure they are in a nice hook form ( kinda wide using needle nose plyers) and not tilted too much up or down.

   that may help when you connect them the electrical contacts will really connect

Ive learned to live with this track........it can be VERY frustrating. but it does stay together quite well
