I have received a mth 20-3031-1 pennsylvania G5 which has being upgraded to Ps2 and it stalls on fastrack switches. After checking it over i found the rear pickup roller has no power. Does anyone have a manual for this engine. I want to take the engine apart to look for a broken wire but need a manual to see what screws to take out.  Thanks

I took the engine apart this morning and did not find any loose or burnt wire connections.Everything looks good so i wiggled all the connections too see if it would correct the problem.I ran the engine again to see if it was just a loose wire but it still stalls on the switches. Without proper wiring diagrams i`ts hard to follow where the wires go . Train DOcter i will  look for the wire to the center rail next and see if that is the problem. Thanks for advice.

I had a Weaver M1a that had the same problem.  Surprisingly I sprayed the suspect roller with WD40.  The pin holding the roller was rusty.  A lot of rust was visable as the WD40 was worked into the roller.  Thumb-roll the roller after applying WD40, then clean the WD 40 off the roller with a soft rag, apply a few drops of light oil.     Something else to check.

Edit/Add:  I have an Atlas RS1 diesel that had problems stalling.  I eventually cleaned all the wheels with a cleaning solvent, worked fine after the extensive cleaning.

Did you use a continuity meter at the work bench to check out continuity between both rollers? here'a an easy way if you don't have a meter.... park one roller on a piece of tape on the center rail. the other roller should fire up the engine. repeat with the other roller.

Kind of sounds like you've already determined  the rear roller is the problem.  That should be an  fairly easy to fix even if you have to  jumper each roller with a piece  of wire.
