This was a Gilmaur kit originally built by Ed Reutling in his HQ&S colors.

It was time to rework the thing into my fleet. New Canon motor, extra details, new lower gear for slow speed, glass windows and Tsunami TSU-1000 Alco Turbo installed.

Dan, Sweet.  Thanks for posting.  Definitely looks like the work you put in to the rebuild really paid off by watching the operation of the locomotive in the video. 

 

From the looks of the photos, you have 1 rail pickup from each truck?  Is that correct? I assume this makes powering the frogs that much more important.  Good to see you using NMRA standard coloring for your wiring!

 

BTW, you may have told me this before but, why do you use the PnP format of the Tsunami vs the TSU-1000?
