I recently purchsased a Lionel Milk Tank car that I received with one of the diecast sprung trucks broken in shipment. Vendor was great and credited my whole purchase price including shipping. I'd like to get the damaged truck replaced but have no idea how to do relace myself. Is this somethng relatively easy to do?
By Milk Tank car. Is it one of the wooden sided cars with the tanks residing inside the car. There are 2 versions of the truck. The earlier one was all metal with diecast side frames. Simply beautiful with white lettering on them. I don’t think they are available. The newer version has diecast side frames and coupler. The rest is plastic. They also don’t couple well with anything. But they are available.
If you can describe exactly what broke and on the type of car. It will be easier to help you. Super easy to replace. One screw removes the truck.
