replacing coal hopper feed tray on postwar 97

I've never changed one and my Greenberg's book isn't any help on the matter. Post office struck again and destroyed the hopper during shipping. The second one in 2 months as well as a pre-war 164 log loader. Any secrets to replacing this would be appreciated. I have a load of things to ship to Chuck Stator when I get the chance, but I really rather not to ship this out for repair again for fear of damage. Thank you
