I saw a video here on how to replace the rollers on a ZW Transformer and now I can't remember where I saw it. Does anyone have the link to that video so I can see it again? Thanks
The procedure is pretty simple. Remove the case, crush the old roller with needle nose pliers and cut the old rivet with diagonal pliers.
Install new rollers with a new rivet. Lightly squeeze the end of the new rivet just enough to keep it from falling out, and allow the roller to spin freely.
Well, if you run across the wrong type of rivet, you may want to break out the Dremel cutoff wheel. Apparently the original rivets are soft and easily cut. However, I've run across a few that seemed to have rivets harder than the cutters.
Another point, I use a cable tie to hold the arm off the transformer core, otherwise you need three hands.
