Anyone have any tips for replacing damaged ornamental horns on a Williams F7 shell without damaging the shell? I figured I would try to cut the glue lines on the underside of the shell with an exacto knife and try to wiggle them loose, they seem to be glued on pretty good.

If it's the new WBB shells, it's a tight glue. Your best bet is to drill it out with very small bits and enlarging the bits unit you reach the edge of the square hole.
Agree....cut it flush....drill it out. Mount new horn.

IIRC the Lionel Post War metal horns have a wedge that digs into the cab, preventing them from falling out. Do the Williams horns?
I just grabbed the Williams plastic horns with a pair of pliers, wiggled them then pulled them out. Replaced them with a pair of Lionel (or repro) metal horns with a drop of crazy glue on the holding strud.
BOBBYD, The WBB horns just have a square peg, I was able to get the broken ones replaced by drilling and an exacto knife, PRRHORSHOWCURVE was right, They have really glued the new Williams horns tight on newer shells. I also had to use some Debonder and work carefully as not to damage the outer shell paint..but its done now and worked our pretty well...I'm just to picky for my own good sometimes and didn't want to damage the shell. Thanks again to everyone.
