Would you settle for a not massive D&H Connie?

PhillyReading,

Check the MTH product locator. They did do the SD40 and SD50's if I remember correctly.

I can still keeping hoping for the Western Maryland I-2 Decapod and/or K-2 Pacific in Premier. Maybe a Reading 4-4-2, or one the D&H's massive 2-8-0's???

Due to its ownership by only one railroad, the Central Railroad of New Jersey, it'll probably never happen in mass produced plastic but how about the Baldwin DRX6-4-2000? HO models in brass were released by Overland so a brass model by 3rd Rail might be the best bet for an O scale version but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

- There was an O-scale brass kit for the CNJ "Two-Face" Baldwins, made by Locomotive Workshop.  Hardcore project.

- The Big D&H 2-8-0 could be done on the MTH Big WM 2-8-0 chassis (did they offer such in D&H lettering? They offered multiple roads).

- Speaking of, and I am shocked that Mike Wolf, from Maryland, has not offered one of the Big, really Big, WM Decapods. The L&HR had some similar locos, and these WM could also represent some other heavy 2-10-0's - like the GM&O's.

- Charles N. - yes, a CofG steamer would be quite nice. Lionel's Light USRA 4-8-2 from some years back could be a plausible stand-in for a CofG Mountain, and certain details could be changed - like CofG's distinctive late Elesco FWH. As the CofG's "Big Apples" (the 4-8-4) were Wartime copies of the Southern Pacific GS-6 Northerns, the basic loco has actually been modeled by Lionel...problem is, the "body" of the model is SP, and the CofG's Big Apples were mechanically identical, but had different appliances and were not streamstyled - so the apparent resemblance is slight. And the Big Apples had that really small tender (easy to change).

Catnap i agree with that LOL

MTH wouldn't even have to make it. If Atlas or Lionel did this model or the GP40-2 that you posted earlier I would be in for it.

As it stands, I have 2 LEGACY Chessie SD40s ordered that should be arriving in March. That's my favorite engine.

I was thinking about getting one of the Atlas Trainman Chessie or C&O U23Bs but I think I'm going to pass, at least until the next Atlas catalog comes out in about 3 or 4 weeks. I want to see if they do any new models or bring back some of their older locomotives like an SD35.

Love the refinery! I don't like to complain but I have more than 10 proto 1 & 2 boards burnt up thus the next logical choice would be a  PS3 upgrade kit. I have been waiting for these things for literally years it seems to get my favorite locos back up and running,  just saw a notification on the nth website a couple of months ago that they will soon be available and placed an order for 6 pieces. Customer service told me the steam boards would be available in November followed by diesel boards in December. Guess what, never got even one board and while placing an order from a forum. Ensor they said they were on his shelf for months but now sold out. How much investment t does it really take to order like 10,000 boards so everyone that needs one can get one? Why does the little guy with a small fleet have to suffer, not to mention the kids pulling at your pant legs! Make some boards to support what you sell.
