ERTL #2431 CAT D350D O 1/50 scale dump truck

This is a modern diecast metal dump truck that makes a nice flatcar 'load" or trackside construction vehicle. The dumper bed is movable as shown.

This diecast model was made in 1995 by the Ertl Company, Dyersville, Iowa.

Prototype photos are shown.

Looks like a nice representation of the real truck. Nice to have, but too modern for me. I limit my layout "era" to 1950. I know that they had big mining trucks back then but I don't remember what they might have looked like. Does anyone make models in 1/50th that represent antique or period heavy equipment?
