Any one familiar with Rex Engineering Locomotive prices?

Well I paid a hundred bucks for a built-up Mogul around 10 years ago. The stack was changed by the builder.

I don't think original Rex commands big bucks these days. My guess would be $100.00 for the B&O 0-4-0T up to $175.00 for the Mogul nowadays. The 2-4-4 Suburban and 0-6-0 may fall somewhere in-between.

Putt Engineering re-released the Mogul and 0-6-0 in 2002/2003 with can motors at around $400.00 if I remember correctly.

Either way, Rex's were available as Scale or HiRail.

It run's like a 1950's-60's locomotive. A little loud and a tad rough, but not objectionably so at least in my opinion. It has an open frame motor, no flywheel and the main gear is a composite material.

Currently, it's in the shop for cleanup and some detail work:

Hello last O / S scale show in Indy 2021 ..was able to buy a nice Rex Mogul for 150....runs quite nicely
