On Sunday April 3rd, The Rockford O Scalers will be hosting an Open House, as part of the Chicago O Scale Meet layout tours. The hours that the layout will be open are from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm and directions are available at the Meet. If you are planning on attending the Meet or are in the Northern Illinois area that day, please plan on joining us.

Could you provide more information on where and when things are? I'm working in Rockford on April 3. If it makes sense to, I'd like to check things out. I'll be at approximately State and Alpine.

Just want to say thank you for opening your home for visitors again this year. I know it can be a hassle, but your layout progress makes it a must see every year.

The open house is connected to the "March Meet" but everyone is welcome to visit. There is never as much progress as we had hoped/planned but it has been a productive year. If you do a Mapquest search on 3900 Lookout Drive, Rockford, Illinois, 61109 it will get you close (not the actual address). It should be 15 minutes or less south of State and Alpine area. On the 3rd of April there will a RR crossbuck in the front yard.
The layout is 57x30 plus a staging area. Will be running both DC and DCC (two independent double track mainlines). The inside double track loop is mostly sceniced for 1950's transition era somewhere (or at least mostly) in the Midwest. Hope to see you on the 3rd.
