The advent of TMCC relegated these beauties to Shelf Queen status - the S1 is from 3rd Rail in 1999, the Centipede is MTH from the same era. The recent topic on the Centipede created interest in running these again... I applied some lubrication to both, set my mains to conventional control, and fired them up. To my surprise, they both ran fine! Regarding overhang on curves, that's not an issue here; my mains have .128 curves...

Looks great, love your layout room! 
In Maine we have access to great old sheds between house and barn. The biggest challenge is convincing the mice that they don't own the property...
