Yesterday I was running my Blue Comet set. After a while it was kind of jerking and making a squeal noise. I looked on YouTube and realized I needed to lube everything. After I got it open and lubricated it (putting it back together was a PITA) The set was running good til it derailed 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ The wire for the connector on the tender came loose. I was fighting with it and then remembered that I bought a crimper and a box of spades a while back. Since I couldn’t get the original connector to stay on properly, I used one from the set I bought and it fit perfectly. Now my sound is good and my train is running good. Here it is with all 6 cars.

Nice! What oil did you go with?
And Are you saying you replaced the little pin connector with spades?
Outstanding- she runs like a charm!

Here’s the oil and grease that I used. I also included a pic of the connector. I’ll take a better pic of the connector when I get home tonight.
