No particular reason, other than to acknowledge that @Mark Boyce is frequently one of the first guys to post a response to any of our threads bragging about what we've done recently, what we've built recently, or what we've bought recently.

It's so easy for us to remain so focused only in the threads regarding our own stuff and our own pursuits, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.  I admittedly use this forum a lot for free advice and help, and it's been valuable.  But Mark always seems to make it a point to go out of his way and offer an encouraging opinion or comment on just about everything that comes up, even when he's got no dog in the race. He does a great job of reminding me that this is not only a technical-support kind of place, but a place where we as hobbyists can congregate and enjoy!

Just wanted to say I've noticed, and I appreciate it!

Mark is great!  I read more than I post on here, but Mark is always quick to offer words of encouragement when I do post.

Also, his shipment packing is second to none.  I bought something from him years ago, and it was packed better than a can of sardines.  He's up there with Vince Lombardi, Bart Star, Brett Favre, and Armour Meat as one of the best Packers of all time.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, Mark and OGR forumites!

Okay Chuck, here I am.

First of all, I am really humbled!  Thank you so much Jeff_the_Coaster_Guy, for starting this off.  I really appreciate all the wonderful comments.  I am glad I am able to make a contribution to this very fine Forum which is loaded with very wonderful people like all of you who have commented and 'liked' Jeff's original post.  My eyes started to water several times.  Maybe that is why I try to be encouraging to everyone.

Actually, I probably could spend less time on the Forum and more time on the layout, but I always get so much fellowship from all of you!!    May God bless all of you, everyone on this Forum, and the whole OGR staff who make it possible and keep it up and running!!!

By his behavior, Mark has created an informal but powerful "Fan Club" of hobbyists. He has helped and encouraged many OGR Forumites - including me.

Contrary to American popular culture that "worships" vapid Hollywood characters, egotistical rock stars, and so-called celebrities, Mark is the real deal -- an ambassador with an affirming personality.
