Hey Folks

I have a Mikado legacy that when it goes under the signal bridge I loose the signal. This only happens when the signal bridges are active( switching green to red or red to green) All the relays have been upgraded to the newer versions. We have also tried shielding the relays.  If I turn off the signal bridge relays the engine runs flawlessly. This my only engine that does this on my Mikado (my only steam)  All the diesel,s have no problems  Any suggestions?

Is it powered from the same transformer as the track?  Chances are the common (also has the track side of the Legacy signal) which uses the metal structure of the signal bridge is interfering with the signal.  If possible I would find another power source for the bridge that is not using the same common as the track.  Perhaps a better activating device would be an IR device.  I suspect you are using the isolated rail.

A good practice is to use an isolated power source for metal accessories as much as possible.  I used to have a metal bridge with a light that did the same.  Isolating it from the track power solved my issue.
