I noticed that my DCS handheld remote's respond slowly to my commands when I run three or more trains at one time, each train is a lash up of two to three power units. Especially the thumb wheel. Ant ideas out there?

Clem,
Please define "slowly". Keep in mind that when you send a lashup a command, you're sending it to all of the member engines.
Barry
When I turn the thumb wheel to adjust speed it does not change with each click of the wheel.I can do five clicks, the speed might move 1 mph. the whistle does not respond but then it does blow sometime after I release the button. Any command given has a delay response or none. Running eight locomotives in four trains with all command. I noticed before when I have four trains and three operators they mention the slow response time.

This is symptomatic of a bug in DCS 4.x under Super TIU mode. If you're operating in Super TIU mode, this bug is clouding the issue.

This is more concerning. How many TIUs are you using and are you operating in Super TIU mode?
Regardless, check the DCS signal strength under two different scenarios:
Each time, test the same engine (lead member when in a lashup) on the same piece of track where you've previously observed this problem, both while the engines are all stationary and while all are moving.
Barry~using one TIU REV L 4.20, all handhelds 4.20, all handhelds have same issue. its not one particular place on track. I know I have 10's with only one engine.
I will go down and do the signal check,
Clem
lem,
Just to be clear: does the problem manifest itself when only running one engine, or only when operating multiple lashups? Also, how is the layout wired, buss or star/home run?
Clem,
I know when this happened to me the batteries in my Hand held remote needed to be recharged. I was only using one TIU however and unless you put batteries in your hand held remotes all at the same time, you may have a different issue. I would check the batteries however. I also found out the wheel on my hand held remote control was starting to go bad, causing further problems.

Barry,
Is there a fix for this bug?
Thx!
Alex
Barry~ With one engine or one two engine lash up its ok. The more power units on the track the worse it gets. One 10 all over with three lash ups running and one single the signal drops all over the scale, total of eight locomotives at one time. When i do this buy myself it is the all button. Star wiring, one TIU,One Z4000. I suspect my wiring is wrong, when I built addition I didn't add any feeders. Never noticed I usually only run one train at time.

Here is my track plan, No blocks, Power feeds to each long side of the oval, two on each side, use to be separate loops of an oval. The only break in the track is the gate on top left.
Wanted to move all power to inside the center loop where it says post power. Most central location. The peninsula is all blue foam mountains …...Suggestions welcome
Alex,
Is there a fix for this bug?
It's corrected in the beta release that we're testing.
Clem,
OK, I see two possible issues:
Thank you Barry
I know I need more power, was thinking about six bricks should do it. Four for the main and a brick apiece for each industrial area(yellow in the diagram). Since I already have a break in both tracks in the top left corner I figure another break in the top of the upper loop(blue). And another break underneath( pink dash line lower) That would give me four blocks on the main. With a brick apiece. I can use all four channels of the TIU right? During open house I try to have three trains on the main and one switcher in the industrial area( right side of diagram).
Clem

That's correct.
