Went with a parts list and $100, got everything on the list and still have $1. Woo Hoo!!
Now, what am I going to do for the next two days?
Just an additional comment: the crowd looked good, especially for Spring.

I bought my first Lion Scale car (Weaver). I like it, just like the old one's, same truck mount so I have a few different 2 rail trucks I could use. Right now It has the new Lionel trucks. They look good. I use Kadees.
For the Delaware and Hudson fans I got two engines and a caboose. I had a great day.
Moon may I ask who sold the Atlas vehicles and how much?

Dropped off a couple of locomotives with Jeff @JDS Ltd. He has done a lot of work for me and has always done a fine job.
One of the locomotives is a PINK WbB GG-1. It will be my older granddaughter's Christmas gift this year. For more than a month now she has been telling me that "Santa is going to bring me a PINK train next Christmas". It needs to be able to run on my layout and I can't let her down.
River City 3 Railers is continuing the work on the train station module. Our visit to the black hall was very productive. We got lots of good pictures and ideas.
Got a great deal on an Atlas Wabash covered hopper, and an older MTH club car (track on a flat car).
Got a case of Natty Boh at Shrewsbury. I was down to my last can from my last visit to York.
Best of all, there was a gentleman in his 80's that sat with us at lunch. He was there with his ex-son in law. We talked like we had known each other our entire lives. Despite not feeling well, he was there enjoying the York experience. Again.
Can't be said too many times, as for the York experience it's all about the people.
Best thing I got was meeting a lot of new people from the forum. You just don't realize how many people are following your progress on the forum until someone recognizes you and says "love your red light district especially the strip clubs"
This York was one of my best lots of deals and vendors willing to deal just by looking at something. Don't know how many times I heard "if you like that I give you a better price" without even asking. Highlights were Texas Special passenger cars, the woodland scenic trailer park trailers, 2 custom buildings, 21" Bombardier set, Premier Empire State Express engine, Premier GP 60 Maersk, GE Evolution, and my first Legacy engine the NS SD60 Go Rail.

Not sure of vendor names - both in KK section of Orange Hall. $19 for BMW, $25 camper, $29 ambulance.
I had a really good day and also got this E-L FM engine.
Not a lot of big purchases this time. My son and I went to York only for Saturday. First thing we did was get my son to join the TCA since he is now 18. I picked up a newer DCS to TMCC/Legacy cable. I was able to hook it up and ran a Legacy engine from the DCS app this afternoon. Got some Baltimore Area Building back drops for my yard and a NS Lighted rescue box car. Other than that some miscellaneous scenarios or maintenance items.
I brought home an LCCA Halloween General set with all the add-on cars, a car with a tiger in the back seat from one of the "Hangover" movies, the A-Team Corvette, a Sanford & Son pickup truck, a DVD on steam locomotive technology, a Chessie Kitten mug, and a Howard Fogg book I picked up at one of the bandit meets. I also put a down payment on a turntable.

This was my first York Meet since we moved from being 75 miles away to 2,659 miles away. In the past we would fill up the Odyssey and drive it home. Now I have to ship things home. Also, I need to still build a building for my future layout and focus funds towards that.
So what I needed was a straight jacket while walking through the halls, trying not to spend too much or get too much stuff I’d have to ship. I felt like Lon Chaney in a cage as he was turning into the Wolfman!
So I felt like I accomplished this and remained very disciplined. It was my smallest haul since my first ever York Meet. I only got seven scale diesel locomotives.
I bought a couple of older Disney cars, pair of prewar #156 platforms. Didn't buy too much this York.. Attended only Thursday. October will be bigger and better purchases. Not too much K-Line 18 inch passenger cars available. Saw a K-Line Canadian Pacific set for $150. Passed on it.
Picked up my Millhouse Turntable, a TMCC Whale car, and a Zstuff data driver for the TT.

I could tell you were very subdued! You'll need to drive a truck across country for the October Meet so you can resume normal purchasing.
3 Atlas tank cars
Lots of JT Mega steam for myself and the club
Some electronics kits from ROYZ
Trees and freight details from Scenic Express
another MTH TIU
Exell Lubricants.

A sore throat and now a cold & cough.
Whoa. I love York !!!!!
Found a new Lionel legacy Y3 for 700.
A 3rd rail Northern Pacific Z-7 Challenger with TMCC for 550.
Then fell of the wagon to the dark side of Lionel prewar.
I found 20 1933 800 series freight cars for 220 dollars.
A repaint of 3 1926 600 series passenger cars for 60 dollars.
A like new 1938 263e light grey steam engine with whistle tender for 210.00
And the best hit was a set of Lionel 700 series passenger cars made in 1934 for 200 !
And saw some good people like Ted Bertiger.
A few neat items!
We bought 2 raffle sets for our annual River City 3 Railers fund-raiser.
The LC Thomas Christmas set (Annie & Clarabel were purchased at the LCCA both to add to it) and an 0-8-0 Pennsy LC steam set
I bought all these cars for about $60. I have about 6=8 starter set steamers and I'm going to put some lowcost start sets together for a local show this summer.
The Christmas disconnect cars.....I hope my new Vision Line Niagara can pull them....
An Army caboose. A video on layouts from TM. A used Kris Kringle Christmas car. The LionChief New Haven Alcos. Dennis Brennan's Oblong Box Company.
I traded a used ZW and RW for a refurbished TW.
Some parts.
Bob Philips' new book on TMCC and Legacy.
....and I ordered this kit from TW TrainWorx (I love building kits).

2 NYC Lionel aluminum passenger cars
MTH RK N&W (blue) full vista dome

I got depressed when I heard the news that ERR is being closed down.
Currently, I'm not sure what direction to take in the hobby? My Son has decided he really wants to go into N scale.
I'm probably just going to dump command control and go back to running conventional.
Looking forward to some Spring action!
No way would I trade a ZW for a TW.

Your point, while valid, is I overstated, IMO. I fall into the category of collector for the most part (definitely not a scale modeler, but I do operate most items - but maybe not all - that I purchase).
(If you mean speculating with the hopes of making a profit, then maybe the point is more valid, but that is different than true collecting in my book)
I don't do PW, but I am still occasionally picking up interesting modern items that may have been around for a while, but only recently attracted my attention.
I picked up an item this meet that I am still trying to find out it's origins. I suspect it's either a club variation for a common car, or maybe something out of an obscure starter set (or maybe one I just forgot about).

ERR is being closed down ? Lionel is closing them? thats real bad news and if true I may be right behind you.
I have no O gauge American Flyer, wanted at least one. I met my mom's Dr. at the show and he said get the 1938 Switcher set. I found one Friday morning and went back to buy it in the afternoon. The older gentleman I bought it from was feeling ill and started to pack up when I was there. I was concerned and asked if I could get him some help. He was insisting on not getting any. I asked if I could help him pack and he accepted. I carried his boxes to his truck and he left on a 12 hr trip back to Indiana, I pray he got home safely and is doing well.
For Spring 2018 I picked up:
First , the "obligatory" York boxcar, keeping the streak going all the way back to the first one.
I renewed my MTHRRC membership, and got this:
From Neely's Trains in Purple Hall, a RailKing Airslide hopper
Just before 5pm when I had to head off to my bus for the trip home, I got this Atlas O single-bay Airslide from Stockyard Express.
I was hoping to find some of the recently-released MTH 50-foot hi-cube boxcars, but I didn't see any examples. Even the previous releases (not counting fictional heritage schemes) were nowhere to be found, at least in the usual spots.
