Traction tires from the MTH parts booth and a Reading GP7 Lionchief+ from CHARLIE RO.
On Thursday, I had my DCS WiFi Companion autographed by the author, then picked up grease and lubricant for the club.
On Friday, I spotted an item that I had to think it over for the day, so, on Saturday, I purchased a Lionel Legacy 3-Truck Western Maryland Shay # 6 Steam Engine from Mr. Muffin Trains.
Now, I will be taking pictures of my Mint-In-Box 2001 Lionel TMCC Western Maryland 3-Truck Western Maryland Shay # 6 Steam Engine and I will be placing the same on the Buy/Sell area of the forum.
This was my 16th York and even with the changes I love it as much as the 1st time I went Back in April of 2002. I didn't spend a mint but came away with a few items I was interested in.
Bruce Greenberg's new volume on O gauge Tinplate-Talk about detail!! Already looking forward to the next one.
Lou Palumbo's new book "BACK IN THE DAY"-Great reading about life in the 50s. Its spot on and I know 'cause I was there. More great train stories.
A postwar 3562-1 black operating barrel car. This completes my collection without, of course, the gray one with the red lettering. This one is far out of range for me.
A Postwar 3459 operating dump car which now accompanies my 3469 dump car.
An apple green 128 Operating Newsstand.
Most of all I got a heck of a lot of satisfaction being able to look at trains and accessories for two days. Can't wait for the next one and I hope it continues to be a twice a year event.
I use to buy a good deal of modern era stuff at York but got out of that line several years ago.
Added to my collection of K Line smoking cabeeses.....snagged 6, and the last one was truly "my holy grail"..a CB&Q that was under other freight car boxes on the table. If I hadn't moved the other boxes aside...for sure I would still be looking.....Then on TOP of that...one of the boxes that I had to move contained B&O engines....NOS...and my buddy Scott wisely said....."GET THEM, and to make up for their cost, scrimp and save until the next York". Sage advice...so I went home with some much wanted goodies. And those B&O FTs were snagged for a deep discount....it pays to dicker/bargain!

Interesting. Not sure I've seen one of these. The 128, while relatively simple in design and action, has always been one of my favorite PW accessories.

2: Brand-new MTH DCS kit
3: Prewar Lionel 215 Standard Gauge tank car
4: K-Line 18-inch 20th Century Ltd. aluminum cars (6) I picked these up on the way home from the meet, but figure that's close enough.

Actually picked up G scale this time and not O scale.
