Every so often I look at older pictures or videos of my last layout to inspire me to do better. I looked at my last video of my last layout this morning for that inspiration. I'm now making more molds for my mountains. It got me going again. This was shot a few days before I had to take my last layout down. It was kind of a farewell to eight years of building. I never tire of watching your video.   I actually prefer watching yours over my prototype DVDs of the Milwaukee Road.  Yours has better scenery, better sound, better music and more drama!

PS.

We all hope there will be a comparable video of your new layout coming out someday.

Hi Don, I use your videos for insperation all the time! I thought I had the talent it takes to do this quality of work.I have a long way to go, there is a learning curve that developes along the way. I have decided that a lot of detail is best left to the " minds eye". You have the balance of detail and the overall appearance that I am trying to develop.I am looking forward to seeing your new layout. Also , is the catenary powered up ?

Hi, Don;

Great video; you are gifted in your abilities.

However, I write more from a curiosity aspect. You're in Hawaii, so are there local hobby shops, or must you obtain the majority of your items from online sources?  Are there other modelers on the islands? (well, of course there are, but I mean in any numbers...).

We hit Oahu about once a year, but to be truthful I've always been too busy with the beach or fish to look for train-related items.
