SD45T-2 20-20138-2
Sounds quit working when in a 2 unit lash up doing a signal test this was the lead unit. Tried addressing this as a single locomotive and as a lash up, tried a factory reset no luck. Runs good just silent, no horn or bell either. This locomotive always seemed to have a weaker signal than my others.

Hi Clem.. It's quit common to lose sounds during a track signal test. Usually a feature reset brings them back. A couple of other things to try...... Go to sound menu and make sure sounds haven't reverted to zero.. Make sure the #4 softkey is sound on.
You did hit start up? I know but had to ask anywaY.

Well the feature reset I didn't try, I went down there and put the locomotive back on the track and it started right up with all sounds. Guess it just needed a rest. This unit has done this before and I always managed to get it working, maybe something weak inside?

When this happened to me, I just pressed the Volume up button on the remote until sounds came back. For whatever reason sometimes the volume doesn't return.
