My Lionel FM Trainmaster Southern Legacy 6300 Item 6-81215 sounds have quit working. No horn, bell, crew talk, tower talk, etc... It has worked intermittently but nothing today. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you!

The usual suggestions I imagine.
First, do a locomotive reset as per the user's manual. For older Legacy, there will be an AUX1 code, for newer stuff it's just setting the TMCC ID again.
Next, check the volume control and run it back and forth a few times to see if it's just flaky.
Finally, you'll have to open it up. I'd first re-seat the TMCC board and connectors to the main board. Check any plugs for secure seating.
If you have a spare 8 ohm speaker, you can see if the speaker has died.
If none of this works, it may be time for a repair depot trip.
You have a newer Legacy with the RCMC boards. I have done a few of those and it sounds like a defective Railsounds Lite board. Do all the tips John gave you first. If none of those work, call Lionel.
One last one, you will see three wires going to the volume pot. Follow those to the RS Lite board and pull and reseat that plug firmly.
Thank-you! Took it apart and found 1 plug not locked in. Works like a champ now. Problem solved thanks to forum members support!
Love the easy ones, and being a free repair doesn't hurt either.
