"special" Lionel Track | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Happy holidays everyone! I am preparing to build a Lionel D-190 display. The original component list calls for an "OSS special O" straight track and 2 "OSS special O" curved tracks. These appear to not be the same as the "OS O" straight and curved tracks. It's not obvious where they are placed on the track plan, nor can I find any other reference to them. Help please?

Thanks. Can I accomplish the same thing with insulating rail joiners at both endsof the rail?

No, one outside rail needs to be isolated from the other by insulating it from the metal ties and you need the insulating pins. How to Make

You would also need to insulate one outer rail between the insulating pins.
