I have a static grass applicator and some Noch static grass.  My grass just falls flat and does not stick up.

I have 1 inch foam and a nail in the foam.  I attached the applicator to the nail.  The first time I put on a layer of paint and sprinkled the grass with no luck.  The 2nd time I used a water/white glue solution and sprinkled the grass over that with no luck.  I also moved the nail so the nail was not touching the paint or glue.  Then I moved the nail so it was touching the paint and glue.

Fresh batteries in the applicator too.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.  Ron

Ron, If you touch the wire/aligator clip to the applicator mesh do you hear a snap or get a spark?

I built one using the flyswatter which works good.

I put the wire probe in the glue, shake out the grass about 3/4" above the glue and it should stand up nicely.

Its the glue..... if you're are going to use white glue, do NOT dilute it. Straight out of the container as it needs to be thick. It's best to use a thick tacky glue especially if you are using tall grass. Paint and diluted white glue are not thick enough to hold it up. We used the tub of Noch static grass glue but there are other brands. Yes it's somewhat expensive but if you already bought the applicator and grass......splurge on the proper glue. The right tool for the job
