It's no contest, the steam tractor has way more torque and traction. The diesel is just too small and light to go up against it.
Not to mention the diesel tractor is being lifted in the rear by the strap connecting them.

I actually got three dummies just in. All SD70's that I've been after. CN, CSX, and GE'd demo.
So I got another engine or two to sacrifice for the powered parts. Trouble always is, I like the other ones too now.
I may just drag her around for awhile.

sinclair, you are correct. That steam tractor I think had rubber tires and not the CLEAT TYPE WHEELS. If it had the cleats I think he would have slinge shot that John Deer into the next county.
