Storage of Lion Chief Polar Express set

Just got a good question from my son-in-law regarding the storage of the Lion Chief Polar Express set we gave our grandson for Christmas.  Can it be stored in the attic (they live in a townhouse in Eldersburg MD to give you an idea of the climate)?

I started to say "yes", but realized I only stored postwar in attics in the past (now none of it is in the attic at my house!).
