: Incredible Ives prewar wide gauge Prosperity passenger set no. 1000R with individual OBs and set box, circa 1929. The set consists of; 1134R die-cast steam loco, 40 die-cast tender, 241 Club, 242 Parlor, 243 observation, three boxes of no. 4-2S3 straight track, two boxes of 4-2C3 curve track, kit box, four white cloth bags and original 1929 color folder. The loco and tender are copper plated with brass and nickel trim. The cars are American Flyer bodied with IVES brass plates, nickel trim, roofs and side trucks, copper wheels and brass journals. This is the ultimate prewar set based on a unique combination of many factors including; provenance, condition, original boxes and desirability. Vince purchased this set in 1980 from the original owner in Indian Lake, PA. This train is a high quality 100% original matched set and is one of the best examples known. This is the only Ives Prosperity Set to exist completely boxed in the set box. Vince proudly displayed his Prosperity set in 1984 at the TCA National Convention held in Monroeville, PA and at the Ives Train Society show n tell held in York, PA.
