Just got my 90 back from Lionel in worse condition than when I sent it... I love the engine but at they point,... with the now broken pieces ( not in the box so it was packaged that way), scratches and paint chips.... along with missing extra parts... I am getting to my end. What strikes me as odd is how they removed pieces of the packaging.. as if to make it easier to pack-up.... for example the protective film over the engine was gone and the two foam blocks on the inside of the styrofoam lid were missing... so the engine was loose.
It also looks like some of the piping was repaired... but I can't be sure... I just see some small bare solder.
I am just really disappointed since these issues will be very difficult to put back to 100% NEW CONDITION. You wait so long for something... you finally get it, to only send it back a few days later.... then to have it come back cosmetically broken.... it is just disappointing.
I have reached out to Lionel customer support, so we will see what happens
