Has anyone ever manufactured or imported models of either the Wabash/Ann Arbor or similar Burlington Route streamline cupola cabooses?

Overland made a Wabash/Ann Arbor cab in brass. I have one which I custom painted and decaled with CDS Dry Transfers. I have only seen 1 other in O scale, so I am assuming it wasn't made in high quantity.

Chicago And Eastern Illinois Railroad (C&EI) also had a couple of these Cabeese .
Weaver Models has their line of imported special cabooses, so we would all have to pick a week to e-mail a request for a favorite caboose, to see them produced.

Guys, thanks for the info and the pictures as well.
I recall seeing the Burlington's silver, with a red and black stripe, version occasionally on their three track raceway into Chicago. Thought they were the best looking hacks around.
Never saw a Wabash or Ann Arbor, much less a M&LS, in the flesh.
As to Andrew's idea of e-mailing Weaver, guess it couldn't hurt. However, I since JD's Trains proposed custom run of 3rd Rail E7's couldn't muster enough reservations to be produced maybe Wabash isn't as popular as we'd like. CB&Q might stand a better chance.
That said, I'd be in for a couple of the Wabash style.
Should we wait a week or so to see if this post draws more attention and then try to coordinate our requests? Anybody who's in, raise your hand or something.

Bachmann, of all people, has been cranking out an HO version of the Burlington NE12 waycar for decades. Too bad they can't be convinced to do one in O.

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the Overland Streamlined Ann Arbor caboose. They definitely are rare. I did see one that came up on an auction site a couple months back and went for over $500.

I'll be e-mailing Weaver this week to request they consider doing a model of these beauties. Judging by the number of posts, I don't think strength of numbers can be the approach to use. I'll try pitching the uniqueness of the design a selling point. This unusual and good looking design might appeal to 3-railers who don't particularly care about the Wabash or other roads that used them.
Anyone caring to write them too, give it a shot. Can't hurt.
E-mailed Weaver yesterday with my request that they consider doing a Wabash style streamlined cupola caboose. Additional e-mails couldn't hurt.
O Scale is the SCRATCH BUILDERS SCALE - I suggest you scratch build one!
Stephen
Scratch build it? Well it's not the best place to start for a novice. That cupola looks like a real tough nut for even an old hand. That said, if all else fails who knows.
E. Willers ----E-mailing Weaver, Sunset, or any other manufacture is not going to work if your asking for a Wabash, Ann Arbor, Caboose. You need to approach them with a major railroad like PRR or N&W. First the caboose would be a good marketing idea because of multiple runs/paint scheme could be done to make the project worth while for a manufacture. First the streamline cabooses: If my memory serves me right:
DT&I - 2 paint schemes
Wabash- 2 paint Schemes
ML&S - 1 paint scheme
Ann Arbor - 3 paint schemes
N&W - 4 paint schemes
-red with halfmoon or hamburger
-red NW modern
- blue halfmoon or hamburger
- red, white, blue -bicentinnial
This gives the manufacture 11 paint schemes to make the run worth while and they may be more apt to listen to your suggestion. Sure a heck of a lot more road names than the ribbed box car that they are doing.
Stephen
nw2124.........Agreed. In my letter to Weaver I did mention all the roads in your list, except the M&LS, though I didn't cover all the various paint schemes. I'll do a followup letter, listing the scheme variations possible on this caboose, next week. Thanks for the tip.
I'll make a request to Weaver for this car as well. I suppose they could do Burlington too, even if it isn't an exact match. I already suggested that they do their Alco FA in Ann Arbor.
