Joe, your work looks great!!
I've been following your build over the years Joe, and am always amazed with what I see.
This is my dream subway/El layout in my head - and that's where it stays 😪 - of what I would want to do to remind me of my days in the Big Apple.
Regarding this amazing subway layout by member Joe, what is the overall size of his entire subway layout and what kind of three rails tracks is he using?
Yanks. 23x12 with a 6x12 to create an L shape. I am using Atlas track.
@Joe P posted:Working signals!!! This is my current focus.
Joe,
as someone who grew up in NYC......all I can say is wow!!!!
but for the center rail it is the NYCTA system in all its glory. Only give away no garbage LMAO.
magnificent! ! ! !
Joe
also grew up in NYC, Queens . Always Rode the 7 line from Flushing to Times Square. Line took you to Shea Stadium 64 Worlds Fair. Back then they still used the IRT , BMT and Ind designations.
7 Mostly an elevated line on Roosevelt Ave, and Queens Blvd. became a subway line in Long Island City They extended the terminal beyond TS to the west side.
you are so lucky to have the available space
Is the 6 x 12 L portion part of the 23 x 12 total layout or is it in addition to to the 23 x 12?
is a diagram of entire track plan published anywhere in this particular post?
It's additional. There is another post in the subway forum with a 3D rendition of my layout. There also may be some track diagrams embedded in this thread.
