A fine time was had by all.
My show layout, complete with Frisco gi-raffes, Amtrak Dreyfus, and a RailKing Red Arrow trolley with my mellow tones announcing the station stops... ;-)
The layout was a hit, with crowds pretty much all day!
Views of the show:
@JohnD's father, Mickey Mantle, was running Thomas for some delighted kids...
The Lego guys were out in force, of course...
The Arkansas and Missouri RR catered and sold merchandise as well.
I had some merch for sale, with Kim Emerson manning the table...
We had the whole row for sales.
Kids are a vital part of the hobby, and we made sure they were amused.
Sugar Creek president @CBS072 with some happy vendors.
I saw that and I told the builder, "OK, you win." Rubber tyred and electric powered, he cruised through the whole show.
Gorgeous scenery.
It wouldn't be a train show without Fortescue.
And this, my friends, makes the time, effort and expense all worthwhile.
"Whoo!"
For an entry level Alco, this 210 I tested for a chum had surprisingly good pulling power...
My latest acquisition, a scruffy 675 in excellent mechanical nick. A repaint is in its future.
As I said before, a wonderful time was had by all.
