Good morning everyone. I will start of with a small structure I constructed this weekend. Let's see what you have been working on.

you continue to amaze me with your skills, great job
I've been making changes to one end of my layout. I removed the track up to the second level because it was too steep and I couldn't really run a train on it the way I wanted to when I designed the layout. So, I eliminated the grade and made two separate sidings. The elevated one will be used for a couple of passenger coaches usually. The lower one will be a siding for a small business. I have all of the track and scenery work done. I ordered the Acme Machine Shop from the OGR store which should arrive this week. Once I have the building done I can finish the rest of the area. I've already ordered some detail pieces including a small dock crane that I plan to use in the scene.

Demo
The block wall is paper prints that I mount to thin cardboard.
Filled in the edge along the new siding with plaster cloth. Not sure about the rest of the siding until I have the building in place. I might embed the rails in the pavement.
Wall completed.

I built these diners from model kits by Twin Whistle Sign Company that I purchased long ago. The Whistle Stop Diner, on my 12’-by-8’ layout, was completed sometime around 2004. Mel’s Diner, on my 10’-by-5’ layout, was completed in March, 2017, although I bought the kit around the time I built the first one. Both models have finished interiors but I did not install lighting. I found it necessary to modify and replace parts and to disregard the instructions when assembling the kits, but they are easy to build. They are at the very front of my layouts because, in my opinion, they have character and belong trackside.

Hey guys. Here is a little project I have been working on. It is a combination of the Lionel coaling tower and the Lionel kit 6-22936. I had both of them for a long time. You can see the "built up " I used on my old layout if you still have Run 255, it was the cover shot.
I always hated that awful yellow tinted silo color. For the new layout, I wanted to paint it to look a little better. I tried to carefully take it apart. Well, it did not come apart too easily and I damaged a lot of parts in the process. Then I remembered I had the coaling tower kit. While not as detailed as the built up, I could use parts from each and voila.
I filled the the back of the lower columns with styrene to make them appear solid. I also built the coal conveyor enclosure out of plastic to simulate a bunker below ground.
Overall, I am pleased with the kit bash.
Have a good Sunday everyone.

Joe,
The models look real nice. I like the paint job on the tanks.
