Good Morning Everyone,
I will start with a picture of some of the completed models I will be bringing to the Greenberg show in Edison, N.J. In March. Let’s see what you have been working on.

After what was the coldest January’s in 15 years in metro Richmond, it was 55 and sunny a few days…….the paint booth is OPEN!
Have a great and safe week, everyone!
Peter
Saturday afternoon I began adding inhabitants to the streets of Olive Hill.
No one has occupied my small town, so I have begun to make the change.
Represented are Artista, BeePeople, Woodland’s Scenic and others collected over several years and from other sources.
Peter, I have a Korber Flag company kit next on my list so I am watching your progress with interest. What do you plan to use to assemble it, epoxy or some other type of glue? My goal is to double the height by adding a second level of styrene but I'm concerned about the structural integrity of this.
Alex W, great job on the interior! What did you use for the light?
Lots of work but little progress is the name of my game. The front of my market (on the right) was too plain so I laser cut a custom sign based on the prototype which makes the building a bit more interesting.
I've finished three coats of paint on the fire hydrants and started placing roads and sidewalks permanently along with a few figures.
The good news is functionality is nearly done - all the switches work now with RixRax and NJI switch machines attached to the module on the workbench. Still some problem areas on the track to work out to get full slow speed running of the switcher.
New Korber Flag building to go to the left of the yellow building.
Thank you all for posting your work. I've resumed working on improvements to my LeMax lighthouse. Hopefully I'll be done soon.
Great work as always gents! I haven't had anything to contribute lately but that's about to change.
So an open question to the group.
I have one last major section of the layout left to add scenery too. It's on the back of my upper level. The main line is under the window and the siding inside of it.
I'm debating between an open passenger/freight platform to serve cars on the siding and passenger service on the main--OR-- girder bridge frames between the tracks and call it done.
I usually have cars parked on the siding so the scene wouldn't be visible all that often. Obviously more visual interest in the platform but the bridge girders would look good too. Either way I'll build it as a diorama and drop it in place. It will need to be removable anyway for service of the track and switches below.
Talk amongst yourselves........

I like the girder bridge frames myself. I like structural steel.

Thanks Alan- The build-able space is only about 4 1/2" so after subtracting clearances for engines, and there's not much room left.
A girder bridge down the middle with appropriate trackside debris will work.

Bob, I also would go with the bridge girders especially if the siding cars block the view. I have a nice scene on my layout that’s blocked most of the time with boxcars.

I like the girder bridge idea, too…….it will look sharp at that distance and will likely make access to the area below easier in the long run….
Peter
I think the decision has been made. Girder bridge it is.
I'll be going for this look.....
This is a local LIRR bridge prior to a recent replacement project.
Thanks guys.
