Are there any SW-1 Diesel Locomotives in commercial operation today?
Thanks,

You might try a Google search, as I'm pretty sure that there are some preserved/restored and operational, but not sure about "in commercial operation".
Ok. Thanks.
Most have been preserved for a while. The last SW-1 in regular service was the 1849 (ex-B&M 1113) in 2014/2015. Berkshire Scenic Railroad Museum (BRSM) acquired the unit (ex-B&M 113) in late 2018; and is in the process of restoring the unit to original / operating conditions.

Ok. Thank you. Bo
Black River & Western RR (in NJ) has one painted in PRR livery
NYC 705 runs on the Adirondak RR out of Thendara near Old Forge, NY.
Pete
The Wisconsin Great Northern in Trego, Wi. Runs an SW-1.
I think the Eureka Springs & North Arkansas still has their SW1 in dinner train/excursion service.

Ok. Thanks.
Tim Robbins, at the Dardanelle and Russellville RR, has several SW1's in operation at his various shortlines.

Thanks.

Last time I saw it, AMTRAK 737 (nee NYC 653, Built 12/41) was active at Ivy City in the Fall of 2019 and as far as I know, may still be in active service, as it was used predominately as a shop switcher.

Thanks.

Luzerne and Susquehanna have at least one they use / used weekly. they were just bought by RJ corman. not sure of the fate of the fleet. if corman will keep them and repaint them or replace them with their own fleet.
I know for many years Cargill has used an SW-1 as it's plant switcher at it's operation on the Minnesota River near Savage MN. If it's not still in use, it was only retired in the last year or two.

You got the other angle. Mine was from 2019 Sunset Special run. I managed to get that coming through Ringoes Station. I think we had slowed down or stopped, can't remember for some reason. I know I have other pictures floating around one of my drives, that one was on my phone.
East Jersey rr in bayonne has at least one, railpace just published a photo of it.
