This circuit board is an ever-changing display of
Chicago's transit system.
I bought one for Christmas this year, and have been
watching the pink line closely. It is where I grew up
at 50th Avenue (currently rebuilt at Illinois Railway
museum).
It is hard to describe what LEDs I'm talking about, so
I'll describe them with lots of words.
As I follow a train Loop-bound from 54th street, the
next LEDs light sequentially as they should. But when
it leaves the California station, a pink LED over on the
green line lights up.
Here is the sequence:
-Pink LED, Pink line, Loop-bound, Kedzie station
-Pink LED, Pink line, Loop-bound, space East of Kedzie
-Pink LED, Pink line, Loop-bound, California station
-wrong -Pink LED, Green line, Out-bound, 43rd station
should be: Pink LED, Pink line, Loop-bound, space East of California station
-Pink LED, Pink line, Loop-bound, Western
My question is, can anyone verify that this is a
software error or do I have a hardware error?
Once the pink line train gets to the loop there are many more
places where the indicated train jumps around. Each following train
makes the same jumps.
I've emailed to support_at_traintrackr.io but haven't heard from anyone.
Thanks for checking.
Has anyone hacked a board for their layout?
