RSJB18, lol..I am afraid of contracting O scale (2 rail)  fever again! So it's good that the left over O scale is tucked away tight! But I may risk it and find some more.

FRENCHTRAINS, as usual merci bien. Your collection is outstandingly Mervieux!

COACHJOE, the Weathering job on the SW is Don Smith. MEC 44 toner? An ebayer did back in the  day. The shop I did. The boxcab has yet to be weathered.

the ship: a very basic kit of a coastal tramp steamship which I assembled for my O scale harborfront layout I embellished with customizing parts obtained from a model ship store Bluejacket up here in Maine as well as several other manufacturers. I plan on sharing more about it in a new post.

Thank you for your comments.

COACHJOE, the ship model is from DEERFIELD RIVER  laser models.

it is the VIC 56 85 foot coastal tramp steamer.  Here is a stock picture of it undecorated.IMG_0180

btw, DEERFIELD RIVER models is  at theBIG E in the Malory complex building  on your right side when you enter that building.  They are just about across from Sylvan ship models. Not sure if they are making this model anymore. He may have one on display.  I got mine way back when he first placed them on his table.  It did go up in price over the years as the owner started adding more parts to it.

So many great photos and videos! Wow. I absolutely enjoy Saturdays with this weekly thread. So here's my first entry.  finally I had the time to unearth a couple of my weathered switchers  for a couple of photos.  These are dedicated to Melgar and Brian particularly.IMG_0172IMG_0173

LEROOF (Pierre),

Nice switchers and very fine weathering. Sorry you're not planning to be at Springfield.

MELGAR

Mel, the two NH 44T's were Hallmark Brass models, they came custom painted. . Heavy, noisey  geared models but serious tractive models. I really liked the early green paint scheme. The MEC 44T was the first brass unpainted model I ever had. What a lot of dough for it!  Made by W&R enterprises. I had it custom painted plus interior , had glass windows , just ran slowly and flawlessly. The only problem was the numbers were placed incorrectly right below the logo not on the ends beneath the red stripes. I had to black it out and add the #14 in the correct places. There is a paint irregularity where I blackened out the custom painters mistake!

All of these engines are from my past. I made a number of people happy making them theirs.  Still it was a pleasure owning these three above.

I do have one unpainted 2 rail W&R brass 44 T that I have Big plans for

this unusual paint scheme MEC #11.photo

A few years back I  had the decals made for it, have the right  paint, a new unused airbrush, but need probably a good deal of free time to get this project started. This will be my first O scale brass painting experience. I am looking forward to the challenge. But right now PW  toy trains and toy layout are all I have time for. Scale endeavors are a bit too complex time wise for me. Maybe if I could retire.....I might rebuild my O scale switching waterfront layout!  I did scratch build most of the turnouts already 10 years ago. Stuff is in standby mode until I finish the current toy layout.

Have a great week.
