Wow Patrick what a great story and I really loved the horse off loading scene it was really well done!  MELGAR - thank you for all the detailed prototype information in your posts.  I have no idea were you gain the research from but it is always super interesting, I always read it, and thank you for posting it.

Today, I am a bit of a slacker....I went to a train show today ( not all that good, mostly HO ) but I did find one switcher.  It is a K-line MP-15 in the Kennecott Copper livery (dark green and gold) .  I have not even unpacked it yet so next week I will post some pictures of its first revenue run on the Leonardtown and Savannah.  I have one of these same models in UP livery that I bought about 2 years ago and its a great runner and puller so I have high hopes for this fellow.  You know several fellows have talked about adding sound to a BEEP, since this has far more room, I wonder how hard that would be???  All advice is most welcome and appreciated.

Don, I mentioned I added a ERR sound system to my Beep.  I originally bought it to install it in my Williams B&M BL2, but soon realized it was over my head.  The ERR system came with very detailed instructions on how to install it on a Beep (as an example), that’s how it ended up on my Beep.

I bought the basic ERR system about ten years ago, I don’t know what they offer now or if instructions for Beeps are included.  I can say if I could do it, you could do it!

@Genemed- I was a TTT regular shortly after joining the forum. SWSat and TTT were top priorities each week. As Patrick said, I was one of the guys inspired to build a Team Track by his thread. I had lot's of fun creating scenes each week. I used to supplement my posts with historical TT photos, but when the copyright police got involved, the thread lost some of the fun we were having.
My Team track is still a busy place, often featured here on SWSat!

Thanks for asking about TTT!

And of course a big thanks to Patrick for starting TTT each week.

Thanks for sharing Bob.

Don- I did a full ERR upgrade on a BEEP last year. I followed Gunrunner John's example so I take no credit for any innovations. The railsounds board fits up under the shell and the speaker will fit in the top of the cab. Unfortunately, 3rd Rail has discontinued the mini-commander board that I used. The chips are no longer being made. For a BEEP I used the GP7/9 railsounds kit. The RS boards are designed to be used with or without the TMCC boards. There is plenty of room under the hood of the MP-15's so I'm sure it would be an easy install. I've attached the installation instructions for your convenience.

This Demo model came with K-line's horn/bell sound system, which I removed, but you can see where the speaker would fit in the cab. While you are under the hood, I recommend wiring the motors in series. It slows them down substantially and they look much better when running.

Bob, since ERR is no longer making the "mini-commander" boards, have you had any experience installing the Cruise Commander 4.1 and/or the AC/DC Commander boards in your BEEPs? From the dimensions listed for these boards, it looks like they should fit but I'd hate to get them and find out otherwise. Thanks!

Bill- I installed a AC commander in a F3. No problems there but I don't know about putting one in a BEEP. The obvious difference is the larger power drivers and heat sinks. The CC overkill for a BEEP but if it fits let me know.

I'm debating just putting sound in my other BEEPS and upgrading the lighting, and running them off the transformer until a new solution (hopefully), is produced.
