This is a new topic for me; perhaps a few others also...

Ed,
Welcome to the topic.
Search is our friend. I entered "T1 Trust" in the OGR Search Box 'Contains All Of These Words' and got 4 pages of hits.
There's a boatload of previous history on the Forum. You may want to check some of it out:
T1 Trust Acquires Tender (8/20/17) | hullmat991
PRR T1 Steam Locomotive Trust (10/16/13) | John Meixel
Why a T1???? (4/7/14) | superwarp1
Pennsy Lovers-What Rings Your Bell? (1/7/15) | PRR8976
Hopefully she makes it all the way through the restoration. We're looking forward to the outcome.

One of my all-time favorite engines, and I donated. I think it's an uphill struggle, and I wonder if it gets done which railroad would allow it to run on their tracks. Anyway, I see the projected completion date is 2030. I'll probably be dead by then!
I support the trust and have provided funds for several items they have built. I am both happy and sad about this engine. I am happy (and sure) that it will run someday as a reminder of a small part of our country's great history of innovation, but sad that day will more than likely be after I am gone.

I also have wondered where they plan to run this thing. Especially given it's rigid frame!

The "rigid frame" will not be an issue, as it wasn't an issue with the largest 4-8-4 steam locomotives, such as the Santa Fe 2900 class, the UP 800 class, the SP 4400 class, nor the NYC 6000 class.
Here is a great podcast episode about it:

So the length of this locomotive isn't an issue even though it's not articulated? I connected the dots myself and thought it would be a tricky problem in some curves.
That's great news for where it can run!

Nope.

They were never a problem when in regular service, relative to curves. Total width was a potential factor in some stations.

I saw a T1 pulling a passenger train heading in to Baltimore in about 1950 or '51 at Meadowbrook which is about 5 miles out of Baltimore's station while I was riding the school bus.
Many I have told me I am wrong - the PRR never ran T1's in to Baltimore. Really? The T1 was tested between Wilmington and Baltimore when it was brand new. It was evidently turned on the wye at Orangeville which was the Pennsy's engine terminal for Baltimore at the time.
If I am incorrect about the locomotive being a T1 then it must have been a K6 (which the PRR never had).

Mike, the lok is not a restore, it is a from the ground up build. There might be a few donor parts on the lok. The tender will undergo a restoration.

That was my understanding; new loco pulling restored tender. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.
