Please, PLEASE mount your phone HORIZONTALLY when shooting video! A TV screen or computer monitor is NOT a vertical screen. HD video is a wide-screen format, and that wide-screen experience is totally lost when you shoot "vertical video."
Other than that, the video and the layout look very nice!

Hi Rich - I hear you on that, but my phone is too big to mount horizontally and clear all the stuff on my layout.
Also, so many people are viewing on phones these days and the vertical works ok for that. But thanks for the suggestion and the compliment!
Do you wear a helmet when you're working on that layout?? 😀 I know I would need one. Must be very hard to work on in cramped spaces, but you sure got the floor space! Very nice!

Ha, no, but I have a few bumps to show for it. Knee pads are critical, though. We make do with they space we can find, right?
Thanks for the video! An attic layout like that takes me back to some of my fondest childhood dreams.

Cool layout - Lionchief Plus ??? What engine - great sounds and smoke
Kevin,
I really liked the way you operate your train in a prototypical manner. I felt like I was riding in the dome. An yes, it was a throw back to the days when most of us had to find some small place to run our trains. Its all about running trains, I love it! Thanks for posting it.

So much fun in a reclaimed space in our house. And after a few decades, I have the layout I dreamed of as a kid!

Thank you! Yes, LC+ New York Central Hudson I bought used on the Forum. Most of my layout is Postwar and MPC but these new locos are really amazing. Even has a flickering firebox!

Thank you, Earl. That is why I love the Lionchief Plus line so much. The locomotives can pull long consists up my 4% grades (up to 40 cars so far!) and stay at a perfectly even speed. And the remotes enable you to walk around the layout (or kneel, in my case) and observe from different angles.
Glad you enjoyed the video. My layout is 40’x10’. I have posted a few other videos on my Instagram page, @coastsidekevin.
