FYI, 2013 TCA Convention cars are up on the TCA's website and ready to order. Really nice Lionel Cotton Belt PS-1 boxcar and a St. Louis SS Reefer among the offerings!

I like the standard gauge car, but not at the price asked. I could probably find it at York for less than 50% off in a year or two.
Spring York was chock full of previous year's TCA convention cars at very reasonable prices. Apparently not much of a collectors piece. Sage advice: buy to enjoy!
PLEASE NOTE! Early buy discount ends TOMORROW, 7/31/12 on the 2013 convention cars! ALL orders are due by 10/31/12.
This is a change from previous years when the early buy discount ended on 10/31 and ALL orders were due 12/31.
Some really nice choices this year, check 'em out!

As usual, tough terms and big lead times for these orders. Your credit card is charged now, but the cars won't be shipped for a year ("pay in full now but you won't be getting it anytime soon"). Who'd have thought ordering a toy train car would be like ordering a new $500,000 supercar or a custom yacht?
Purchasing a convention car is another way of supporting your TCA. It's not always about best price and quickest delivery.
