The Museum will be hosting two great events including a Spring Hobby Show at the State Fairgrounds, and National Train day activities including free rides in an historic bus.
The annual Spring Hobby Show will be held at the MN State Fairgrounds Education Building from 9am to 3pm and will feature over 200 tables selling new and used scale models, toy trains, railroad collectibles, books, videos, photos and more.
Multiple Operating Model Railroads, Choo-Choo Bob’s Kids Play Area Thomas the Tank Engine activities will provide fun for children and adults. Admission – ages 8 and older only $6, children 7 and under are free!
The National Train Day festivities at the Museum will include Amtrak Trains on our operating layouts plus an historic bus giving free round trip rides between the Museum, the Jackson Street Roundhouse and the Union Depot.The museum will be open from 10am to 5pm. Museum admission is $8.00 for both the Bandana Square 2-rail exhibit and the Toy Train Division next door in the Chimneys Building. Admission for children 4 and under are admitted free.
