And you still have an apostrophe in days
I fixed it.
Are you sure
Are we there yet?
And it's late enough this year that some (or at least one) beleaguered and tired CPA may make it, after hopefully surviving another Tax Season.
Well, this just TICKS ME OFF!!!!
I've been to each and every York Meet since 2006 (nearly 30 in all) but I'm going to miss the April, 2018, Meet.
Bad luck for me due to in-laws' "bad" planning.
Regret is forever.
EDDIE
POST THE APRIL DATES.
NOT SURE WHY THE FORUM USED TO HAVE THE DATES FOR SEVERAL UPCOMING YORK MEETS HAS BEEN DELETED?????
19 - 21
Yes!
Peter
- Too early, remind me in April.y
I was thinking the same thing a half hour ago while taking down Christmas in my train room.
It made me feel better, something to look forward to, I hate taking down Christmas.
doe-dee-doe-doe-doe 22 12 days until retirement; 16 9 working days left.
I'm a single digit midget!!!
Strike all that mess. I'm day 14 into retirement. Every week is now six Saturdays, and one Sunday. My goal is to complete at least one task per day. So far, so good. Just like eating an Elephant; one bite at a time.
I might think about maybe considering doing a 3 day per week part-time gig in May. We'll see how the cash flow models are looking after a couple of months.
April York sounds like a fun little Thursday/Friday jaunt.
Eddie,
What's the weather likely to be? I need accuracy . . .
I've been once. Is spring or fall the larger meet?
I just might need a serious road trip from Chicago!

Thanks Tom!
Not sure if I will be able to make Spring. See what comes.

Guaranteed to be much better than what we have been having lately.
Just told the wife last week I am going... Have to be firm with these things, and face the storm forthwith!
Next step... finish that new walk in closet
I'll be there---wouldn't miss it for anything.
John
So John, Is that where your going to be sleeping?
I've renewed my TCA Membership. Secured my airline and vehicle reservations. Secured my hotel reservation. Just waiting for the on-line registration to open up for my badge.
After a one Meet hiatus, Traindiesel will come back to..... YORK, PENNSYLVANIA!!!
Ahhhh, what a rush!!
based on the "accurate weather report" ................(lol) I've gone and registered! Those trains need all of us there to appreciate them!
do your part, gents!
I did it.

Brian, I like your signature line.
Getting closer.
During the meet, the normal high for York is 68, low is 41. For the actual weather, look out the window on the day in question.

Bob,
You are not attending? Geeeshhh! Tell the in-laws they are going to York. And only 30 Yorks? Think you are a rookie at it. Have not missed on since 1992. Think it is number 50 or 52...
Ted
Starting a new job and not sure I can make this one.

Looks like the "miss" is confirmed for April, 2018.
But, Ted, you have to admit that 30 York Meets is not too bad for a West Coast guy!
See you in October!

Farmer Bill,
New job as inspector for the Scrapple Company in Pennsylvania?

One time I took the Southwest Chief from Los Angeles to Chicago and then the Capitol Limited to D.C. A memorable three-day trip!
Finally got around to booking my room, this will only be my second trip. Supposed to have a procedure done in late March, but not sure of the recovery time. Guess I’ll have to postpone it, just to be on the safe side.
Tom (Gilly),
Isn't retirement grand? April 1 will be my 2nd anniversary of singing the Johnny Paycheck song. Don't miss the BS, just the fine folks I dealt with.
Good idea getting a part time job. Have one at 2 days a week and enjoying it.
