Lionel's Rocket Launch Pad (#2229300) was catalogued in the 2022 Big Book. It looks like it's still on schedule to be made and delivered.
The description is unclear about the launch mechanism. Specifically, is there a countdown control box with launch button, as in the two previous iterations of the #175 rocket launcher, or is the main and only controller the "new" PEP Control Box?
Any info that anyone has gathered would be appreciated.

No time like the present to start collecting parts for that new Legacy layout. 
Do you have to have legacy to work it?

I think Lionel just put the manual up since I believe it wasn't there several weeks ago.
In any case, it looks like there's no "countdown" controller as in the 1958 and the 2006 versions.

Does Lionel still intend to produce this?
If so, is there a release date?
